so you want to know more? YAY!
Hi! I'm Isabella (Bella) Scoma, and I think we just became best friends.
My favorite color is blue- specifically that perfect blue-green that somehow manages to be both at once. My favorite food changes weekly, but currently pasta holds the title, although tacos and French toast are strong contenders. I love long walks on the beach, reading, writing, tanning, and just about anything that ends with a good sunset. Watching the sun go down brings me an unreasonable amount of joy. I also have a kitten named Winston, and yes, he is absolutely perfect.
I attended the University of Central Florida for a year and a half before transferring to Florida State University during the spring of my sophomore year. I stayed and loved it. I earned my bachelor's degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing while minoring in Humanities and Communication, before continuing on to complete my master's degree in Media and Communication Studies. While I didn't arrive at FSU until 2023, I am proudly a third-generation Seminole- my grandparents met there, my parents met there, and now it holds a pretty special place in my own story too.
I was heavily involved in Tri Delta during my time at FSU, and through it I met the love of my life, Casen. We met, became inseparable, and ten days later started dating. He studied Sport Management and decided to stay for his master's degree. I like to joke that I couldn't let him out-degree me, but graduate school was always part of my plan- he just gave me the final push.
I'm also the oldest of four girls, which probably explains why I thrive in organized chaos and can handle just about anything a wedding day throws my way. Two of my sisters now work alongside me at Scoma Photography LLC. Ava, my sister and built-in best friend, is my other half and my favorite second shooter. Lexi has taught me patience, perspective, and how important laughter can be. And Carolina, the youngest Scoma sister, has recently joined us for weddings and content creation. Watching my sisters become part of this business has been one of the coolest and most unexpected parts of building it.
Being surrounded by so many strong women has shaped the way I photograph weddings and families. I know how quickly seasons change and how important it is to preserve the people you love exactly as they are in this moment. My goal is to create photographs that feel like memories- the big moments, the in-between moments, and all of the little things you'll want to hold onto years from now.
